Khoonegeli is a beautiful adobe house richly influenced by traditional architecture with a capacity for up to 30 backpackers. The house was designed and built by cooperative members Farzin Malaki and his Venezuelan wife Alejandra Aliaga in 2002, on a tea plantation that has been a Malaki family retreat for over 70 years. We serve only freshly prepared local food, cooked by local women, arguably the best gastronomy in Iran, with a huge variety of vegetarian dishes and freshly caught fish from the Caspian Sea.

If you are looking for real adventure in unexplored places, then count on us to be your host! We are only 5 hours away from Tehran by car --- or a half hour flight to Ramsar plus a 20-minute drive. Khoonegeli can also be booked separately, if you are just looking to spend time relaxing, meditating or doing your own exploring.
